A: WOOP stands for “WOmen of OPinion”. that is, women who have an opinion and like to share it with brands and their friends.
Q: How does WOOP do good?
A: WOOP makes marketing to women a force for good. We turn the online browsing time of women like you into 3 things:
OPINIONS & IDEAS that brands value.
REWARDS & RECOGNITION for you.
CHARITY DONATION to help educate little girls.
Everyone wins on WOOP - You, Society and Brands.
Q: Why should I join WOOP?
A: By joining WOOP you can have fun, learn some useful info, win rewards and also get a sense of fulfillment because you will be changing the lives of girls by supporting their education.
Q: How does WOOP work?
A: It is a simple 4 step process:
GET INVITED: You get invited to try and learn about new products and services, based on your profile, interests and personal preferences.
DO FUN INTERACTIONS & EARN POINTS: Interaction on WOOP is in the form of simple tasks called “missions”. Through missions you get useful tips and hacks, do fun quizzes, get to try products at a discount, share your honest feedback, write reviews, create photos, memes and videos. You earn points for every mission in proportion to the effort.
GET REWARDED & RECOGNISED: The more points you earn, the greater your chances of winning great prizes, which can be discounts, gift hampers and also money-can’t buy experiences and exclusive privileges.
YOUR POINTS HELP EDUCATE GIRLS: Your WOOP points are also converted into money and donated to Nanhi Kali (which means Little Bud), a registered charity in England and Wales (registered charity number 1153797), which helps girls from poor families in India go to school. 20 million girls in India are deprived of schooling, that is 2.5 times more than the 8mn girls in schools in the UK. Just by spending some time doing missions on your phone, you are helping educate girls who really need help. Doing good is as easy as a few clicks with WOOP.
Q: Why do brands partner up with WOOP? What do they get?
A: Brands are always looking for insights, ideas, reviews and feedback to improve their products and services. They also want genuine people like you to talk to their friends about them. WOOP makes it easy and efficient for brands to make this connection.
Q: Who can become a WOOP member? Do I have to pay?
A: WOOP is free to join for any woman living in the UK over the age of 16, with a verified UK mobile phone number. Although we mainly focus on women, we welcome others to join WOOP and do more good!
Q: What is a Campaign?
A: A campaign is related to a particular brand. Every campaign is unique - some campaigns will take just a few minutes to complete, while others may last a few weeks to allow you to fully explore and learn about more complicated products. You can see the campaign(s) available to you after you have logged into your account.
Q: How many campaigns can I join?
A: New campaigns become available when brands decide to work with WOOP. Occasionally, there may be no active campaigns but it is also possible that many campaigns are live at the same time.
Q: How will I know when new campaigns are live?
A: If your profile, interests and preferences indicate a fit with the campaign, we will invite you to be part of the campaign via email. So keep an eye on your inbox!
Q: What if I want to join a campaign with a brand or product I use/love, but it is not currently on WOOP?
A: If there is a certain brand you would love to connect with, please write to us. We will do our best to get in touch with the brand and let their marketing team know that consumers like you are looking to share their opinions and engage with them.
About Journeys & Missions
Q: What is a "journey"?
A: A campaign consists of “journeys” and each journey has several “missions”. Think of a campaign as a book shelf, the journeys within it as books and the missions within a journey as chapters of a book. You can see all the journeys available on a Campaign’s Home page.
Q: What are "missions"?
A: “Missions” are simple and fun challenges within a journey that enable you to earn points. Missions come in a wide variety - fun quizzes, simple surveys and polls, buying product at a discount, registering for a free sample, writing a product review, making Facebook and Instagram posts, expressing yourself through stories, photos, memes and videos, visiting a brand event, hosting a party. They are a whole lot of fun!
Q: Do I need to complete all missions?
A: There is no pressure to do all missions. However, the more missions you do, the more things you will learn about the product and also earn more points and rewards, and also do more good as 500 points creates 1 School day.
Q: How many times can I do a mission?
A: Most missions can only be done once. However, if a particular mission can be done more than once, it will be clearly indicated.
Q: How do I get points for missions?
A: Upon completing a mission, you will see a message confirming that your response has been received. For some missions, points are awarded immediately while for more challenging missions, worth higher points, points are awarded after we’ve had a look at your submission. This will take 1-2 working days. You will receive a notification when your response is approved.
Q: Do I get points only if I give positive feedback on products?
A: As long as you are giving honest feedback, you will get the same amount of points, regardless if it is positive or not.
Q: Besides doing missions, how else can I earn points?
A: You can also earn points by inviting friends to join a campaign that you are part of. When a friend joins using your invite link and completes the minimum required missions, you get additional points.
Q: Will I get points for a friend who’s already a part of WOOP but in a different campaign?
A: You can invite your friend to the campaign you are a part of but you will not get any points for it, as she is already a WOOP member.
Q: How do I keep track of my points?
A: After logging in, you can track your points history via the “Points” tab on a Campaign’s home page. If you are in 2 campaigns and want to check the points earned in Campaign 1, you’ll need to click on Campaign A and then click on the “Points” tab in it. You can repeat the process for Campaign 2.
Q: What can I do with the points collected?
A: Your Points are used for 3 things:
Redeeming Rewards like coupons or other gifts instantly.
Qualifying you for top rewards which are given out at the end of a campaign.
To support education of little girls. 500 WOOP points create 1 School day for 1 Girl, via our charity partner Nanhi Kali.
Q: Are the points earned across different campaigns accumulative and transferable from one to another?
A: Points are exclusive to the campaign in which you earned them. It is not possible to transfer points from one campaign to another campaign.
Q: How do I transfer my points to someone else?
A: Points are not transferable. All points related to a campaign expire at the end of each campaign.
WOOP and Girl Child Education
Q: How exactly does my doing missions help educate girls?
A: WOOP gets paid by brands based on the points earned by you. From this we donate £0.20 to Nanhi Kali for every 500 points earned by you.
Q: How much of an impact can £0.20 make?
A: £0.20 funds 1 day of school as £40 supports a girl child between 1st to 5th grade for 1 full year, meaning 200 days. Yes, the British pound goes a long way in a country like India.
Q: Is there a target WOOP has for the number of School Days it wants to create? Is it significant?
A: For WOOP in the UK, we have set a target of supporting the education of at least 100 girls for the full year. That means 20,000 School days and a donation of £4000. In India, WOOP has already funded the education of 500+ Girls.
Q: Where can I see how many School days I, my friends and WOOP community have helped sponsor?
A: You can see the number of School days by clicking on the “heart” icon on the Home page. You will see our own school days as well as total created by the entire WOOP UK community and also the friends you have invited.
Q: Do I lose my points, when they get converted into donation?
A: No, you don't have to give up your points and rewards to help others. Your points are automatically turned into money for charity. This is the beauty of WOOP platform.
Q: Do I also need to give money from my side to Charity?
A: No, you do not need to contribute any money. Just earn points by doing missions and WOOP will automatically turn your points to donation for charity at the rate of 500 points = £0.20. Doing good is as easy as a few clicks with WOOP.
Q: How frequently does the donation happen?
A: WOOP will make a donation to Nanhi Kali at the end of every 3 months.
Q: How can I be certain that the donation is happening?
A: All Woopers will be informed via email as well as notification in their account of the amount, date and mode of donation made to Nanhi Kali.
Q: Can I also make an additional donation from my side?
A: You are welcome to make an additional donation directly to Nanhi Kali. It is eligible for gift aid too. Click here.
Q: What if I want to contribute to a different cause? Or a different NGO of my choice?
A: WOOP will be directing all funds towards the cause of the girl child education via its partner Nanhi Kali. At this point in time, WOOP is not planning to support any other cause.
Q: What kind of rewards can I win on WOOP?
A: We work with brands to have a variety of rewards on WOOP. Rewards can be discount coupons, gift hampers, Amazon gift cards, beauty makeover sessions, meeting with a celebrity, featuring in a brand advertisement.
Q: How many rewards are available typically?
A: The number of rewards vary by campaign and often depend on the budget available with the brand. We try and ensure a healthy ratio between number of participants and rewards.
Q: How can I win/get rewards?
A: There are 2 ways to win rewards on WOOP:
